Patriots Girls High School Flag Football League
A Movement Bigger Than the Game
On behalf of the Kraft family and the New England Patriots Foundation, welcome to the Patriots Girls High School Flag Football League—a fast-growing, purpose-driven initiative that's opening doors for female athletes across New England.
In just three years, this league has grown from eight schools to 56, proving that the demand is real and the momentum is unstoppable. Backed by arguably the most successful franchise in NFL history, this league is leading the charge for equality and opportunity in high school sports.
Still Not Sanctioned—And That Needs to Change
Despite explosive growth and national attention, girls flag football is still not sanctioned by the MIAA in Massachusetts. That’s an embarrassing reality for a state that should be leading the way.
More than 10 states have already sanctioned the sport—unlocking access to college exposure, athletic scholarships, and official statewide competition for young women. There’s no reason why Massachusetts, home to the six-time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots, shouldn’t be next.
More Than a Sport
Flag football is about more than just wins. It’s about teaching leadership, discipline, and teamwork. It’s about giving girls a space to compete, to grow, and to shine. These athletes are setting the tone for the future—not just of football, but of equity in athletics.
Join the Movement
Players. Coaches. Schools. Parents. Communities. Everyone has a role to play in moving this sport forward. The Patriots Foundation is committed to expanding flag football across all six New England states—and with your help, we can make it a fully recognized, officially sanctioned sport in Massachusetts.
Let’s build something lasting. Let’s give these athletes what they’ve earned.
It’s time.
